Zee's Round Up: 2nd of June

A spirited second half performance almost gave Homenetmen Antranig their first win of the season. Down by more than 20 points with less than 6 minutes to play, coach Zarigian realized that the Knights were struggling with fatigue at the back end of the game so Antranig pushed the ball up the court faster and tightened up defensively. The three big men of the team, Zac Boyadjian, Paul Boghossian and rookie, Shant Hekimian all played strong with Antranig dominating the boards.

The controversial 10 point penalty cost Antranig 3 competition points, but considering they would’ve won without the penalty, I think the coaching staff and the players see this as the turning point of the season. Coach Zarigian said at the after match press conference that the team still had a long way to go but the performance against the Knights was a good stepping stone to a winning season.
